Walking through Greenwood Conservation Area as the day winds down, the forest stands silent under heavy, snow-laden evergreens. The setting sun breaks through the treeline in a radiant blaze of warm gold and peach, casting long, crisscrossing indigo shadows straight across the snowy path. I painted this with rich, sculptural oil strokes to capture that quiet, fleeting moment when the winter woods borrow the very last warmth of the evening light before dusk takes over.
