About the Artist

Bertil Joseph is a Canadian award winning landscape artist working with oils and acrylics, inspired by time spent outdoors fishing, hiking, and camping in the backcountry. He finds his voice in the untamed spirit of the Canadian wilderness. His work is a visceral response to the uncompromising beauty of the North. Inspired by the Canadian Group of Seven and the movement of Post-Impressionism, Bertil Joseph translates the shifting light of the seasons into a language of energy.
